Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 24, 2026

This policy describes how Alex Backup Utility (the "Service"), a privately operated n8n-based Google Drive backup automation, accesses and processes Google user data.

1. Operator and contact

The Service is operated privately for use with Google accounts authorized by its operator. For privacy questions or requests, contact voronoi.alexandro@gmail.com.

2. Google data accessed

When authorized through Google OAuth, the Service may access Google Drive folder names, file names, IDs, file metadata, and file content required to copy files and folder structures. The destination account is authorized separately to create folders and upload backup copies.

3. Purpose and permitted use

Google user data is used only to perform user-authorized backup, transfer, status reporting, and troubleshooting. The Service does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or selling data. Its use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

4. Processing, storage and recipients

Data passes through the operator-controlled n8n automation server during transfers. Backup copies are stored in the operator-authorized destination Google Drive account. The automation stores operational metadata (such as folder identifiers, paths, and task statuses) in its n8n data table. Depending on n8n execution-history and binary-data settings, execution records or temporary files may be retained on the server. Google processes data in the source and destination accounts under Google's terms. No Google user data is sold or provided to advertisers.

5. Retention and deletion

Backup copies remain in the destination Google Drive account until the operator deletes them. Operational records and any temporary server-side copies are subject to the n8n instance's configured retention and cleanup settings. The operator can delete backups, task records, and revoke OAuth access through the relevant Google Account security settings. Questions or deletion requests can be sent to the contact above.

6. Access and security

Access to the automation and backup accounts is restricted to the operator and authorized account users. OAuth credentials are configured in n8n. Public site pages do not display or transmit stored Google Drive files. Security depends on the operator's Google-account permissions, server access controls, and n8n configuration.

7. Changes

This policy may be updated when the Service's behavior or data handling changes. The effective date above indicates the current version.
